A NIGHT WITH GHOST

Date of show: April 16th, 2016 Location: College Street Music Hall, New Haven, CT Photos and review by: Vicky Blank If you have Ghosts, you have everything. Grammy-winning band Ghost was in their glory Saturday, when they played at the College Street Music Hall in New Haven, CT. This was the 4th show of their "Black To The Future" spring tour in the USA, and you could tell they were itching to get back on stage. Papa Emeritus III and The Nameless Ghouls all choreographed and interacted with each other without missing a beat. They started off with "Spirit" and "From The Pinnacle to the Pit" from their latest album "Meliora" and dipped in and out of their hits from their "Infestissumam" and "Opus Eponymous" albums. The Sisters of Sin graced everyone in the front row of the audience with communion when the band broke into the song "Body and Blood" (Info on Sisters of Sin: The band does an online search for two women in every city they perform in, who are willing to participate as sisters up on stage with the band and hand out communion to everyone. A very cool way for fans to be on stage, meet, and interact with the band.) Papa gave it his all with his vocals and screamed before going into the finale (Monstrance Clock), "Are you ready to sing about the female orgasm?!" What a great song to end a concert on with everyone chanting together.

I was lucky to be able to purchase Meet & Greet tickets to meet the band before the show. There was about 30 of us waiting in line to meet the band, and when it came to our turn - I was totally star-struck. Papa walked up to me with his hands reaching for mine, and said in his Italian accent, "Hello! How are you doing tonight?" I immediately felt weak in the knees holding his hands, giggled for a bit, and like a total dork said, "Everything is great!" Haha *shakes my head* I then shook hands with all of The Nameless Ghouls and thanked them for this opportunity and wished them a good show. They were all very thankful and polite. Then Papa goes, "Let's take our picture!" and the two camera shots flashed and then we were escorted back to the show. We were given merchandise that were already autographed by the band and only available to those who purchased the Meet & Greet tickets.

This was my 6th time seeing Ghost live, and they always put on a great show. http://ghost-official.com/ https://www.facebook.com/thebandghost https://twitter.com/thebandghost
